The Food Institute and Mintel hosted an insightful webinar that
explained how food manufacturers and marketers can target today's
health & wellness oriented consumers. This 1-hour webinar answered
some of the most important questions facing manufacturers today,
including: Are U.S. consumers really concerned with health &
wellness and do their purchases reflect this? Where
do consumers look for health & wellness information?
Is health & wellness just a fad, or does it possess the characteristics
of a trend? What is the growth rate for new product
introductions in the health & wellness category?
This webinar, led by Mintel's Lynn Dornblaser, focused
on health & wellness issues pertaining to food and beverage,
revealing what drives consumer purchase behavior. It took a look
at how consumers perceive health & wellness, the abundance of
messages concerning health issues, and the types and number of products
on the market making health & wellness claims. Lastly, Dornblaser
provided some interesting thoughts for the future. The presentation
